I know I’m not always the model student……..but what I and many of my canine chums LOVE to do is learn!
Yeah, I know! Me! But I do……I just LOVE going to class – so how about talking your human family into letting you have this fun, great time too?
Now it’s come to my attention that there’s an Open Day happening at Touch Canine Care Centre, Skipton Road, Harrogate this Friday 25 November. It just so happens that the Tailwagger Club (my training club) has their headquarters there. It’s going to be open from 8am to 8pm, so your humans have no excuse……they could easily nip along and have a look around and find out why it’s so good for us dogs to use our brains and have fun whilst we’re doing it!
You’d meet Angela or other Tailwagger trainers, find out about the range of classes they run – and if you happen to be a little on the naughty side (been there and got the t-shirt!) Angela also offers a behaviourist service, so your human could ask about that and find out how they could have a consultation to help improve your behaviour (am I really saying this?!!).
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy my time at the Tailwagger classes. And I’ll tell you something else…….every Christmas we dogs get to go to a Christmas Party! We play games and win prizes!! It’s fantastic!
And if I can’t make it even more exciting – also at the Touch Canine Care Centre is Black Dog Hydrotherapy.
I’ve needed hydrotherapy – lots of times – after my leg ops and although I’m not the most ‘natural’ swimmer – I can do it! But only with the help of nice people like Kim who run the hydrotherapy centre. It really helps you gain your strength after an operation…..and it also help those dogs who might have a little expanded waistline! It’s brilliant exercise!
Your human will be able to see the pool, see demonstrations and speak to everyone there.
I hear there’s also a Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapist and a Dog Groomer – all under one roof!
Go on – get your human to have a look at see what’s on offer – and so close to home!
